FAQs

Here are some common questions about Rippled Leaf Farms
What is CBG?
CBG (cannabigerol) is the precursor to CBD and THC. This cannabinoid is found in immature hemp flowers and turns into other cannabinoids as the plant reaches maturity. Some varieties of hemp never allow the CBG to reach its final form, and thus produce mature flowers rich in cannabigerol.
Is it legal?
Yes. Any hemp with less than 0.3% THC is federally legal. There are still a few states that don't allow people to possess the flower however. We do not ship to those states.
How is CBG different from CBD?
CBG is a different molecule with different (but similar) effects. Some users consider CBG to be more effective than CBD for things like pain management or calming one's nerves, but the most noticeable difference is the energizing effect of CBG. It is less likely to leave you feeling tired or drowsy than CBD is.
Why smokable products? Most of the CBD I see is oil...
When you inhale cannabinoids, the effects come faster and are often more potent than when taking them sublingually. You also look way cooler smoking a blunt than you ever would with a silly little dropper. While smokables are not as well suited for frequent use throughout the day, they really shine when you want to unwind after a long day or need to reset your brain during a lunch break. They also pair incredibly with coffee.
Can CBG be used recreationally?
Yes! CBG can improve your favorite hobbies. At Rippled Leaf Farms, we often smoke CBG before hiking, doing karate, and cooking. It can help you reach that perfect balance of relaxation and motivation to live life to the fullest. CBG is perfect fuel for philosophical conversations, art or anything requiring creativity, and video gaming. Our slow burning palm rolls are perfect to enjoy with red wine and board games.
Can I mix CBG with other cannabinoids?
Make sure to check the regulations of your state before mixing CBG with any other cannabinoid. If you are in a legal state, many users report a clear headed, paranoia- free high that won’t leave you glued to the couch when mixing CBG with THC. CBG also combines flawlessly with CBD flower as well, with users reporting a marked increase in the effectiveness of both cannabinoids.
Why is this stuff so expensive?
Hemp flower can be difficult to grow and process in large quantities, as it requires an extensive drying, trimming and curing process. Most strains will only flower in the fall, making it very challenging for outdoor growers to harvest more than once per year. Also, hemp has only been legal for a short time, so the supply is still struggling to meet the demand. As the market matures, prices should go down across the board.
